Well, Spiderman took a bit of a beating this week, but I guess it serves him right for starring in so many mediocre Genesis games. I wonder if it was all an elaborate plot on the part of the Green Goblin or Electro or something.
Phelios – Due to the staff’s worship of the Greek Gods, it would be hypocritical for us to have eliminated Bible Adventures and then kept this game about Apollo around. Neither game is any good, and we’re not playing favorites here.
Spot Goes To Hollywood – Wow, an isometric platformer that’s impossible to control and hard to play! And it’s based on a corporate mascot? Woo-hoo!
Tom & Jerry: Frantic Antics – Hey, remember that episode of Tom and Jerry where Tom was walking home and a rat blasted him in the face with a shotgun for no reason?
Spiderman – Being able to crawl across the ceiling is seems like an unfair advantage when your enemies are only capable of walking in a straight line and never changing course.
Spiderman & Venom: Maximum Carnage – You would think a Final Fight-type game starring Spiderman would be kind of fun, but you’d be wrong…
Spiderman & Venom: Separation Anxiety – …nope, still wrong. We admire your persistence, though. Well, not really.
Saint Sword – Man, you know you aren’t any good when even Taito won’t include you in a Greatest Hits collection.
Cadash – Wears its mediocrity like a $30 prom dress.
Mystic Defender – Almost bad enough to make me wish I was playing regular ol’ Defender. Not quite, but close.
Viewpoint – In this case, the viewpoint appears to be from some odd angle that makes it hard to avoid getting killed.
