Double Dragon is one of my favorite games of all time, and part of the reason for this is the game’s phenomenal soundtrack, which I would honestly put it right up there with Megaman 2 as one of the best original soundtracks ever made for a video game. Part of the key to this is that it doesn’t have any weak points – the entire score is fantastic from the opening theme all the way to the music for the last stage. Admittedly, there are far less tracks than, say, one of the Final Fantasy games, but it manages to do an awful lot with a little time.
Anyway, while poking around on OC Remix last night, I stumbled upon this remix, a medley of the soundtrack that manages to use every single track in the game. Rather than fooling around with the arrangement, this is more of a straight-up, “here’s what the music would sound like with actual instruments” recording of the songs. Definitely worth checking out.
